On October 12, 2010, House of Latin America (HOLA), an NGO in Iran acting in solidarity and defense of the peoples of Latin America, initiated an Appeal calling on social justice and anti-war forces around the world to mobilize to come to the defense of the people of Iran in this urgent hour of U.S. escalating threats and continuing sanctions. Today that we are publishing this handout, Nov. 12, 2010, exactly 1 month has passed since the initiation of the SI campaign, and now even in this short period and despite lack of broad publicity, 100s of freedom loving people and 10s of progressive organizations have already signed the campaign's proposed petition. The prominent supporters of the campaign at this early stage, just to name a few, include:

As you read this leaflet, the coordinators of Solidarity with Iran SI campaign are on a tour to 9 Latin American countries, including: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Uruguay and Venezuela. The purpose of this tour is to lay the ground to build a strong campaign in solidarity with the people of Iran in the region of Latin America. Therefore, we urge everyone who hears our message, every citizen of Latin America, to join this campaign by signing the petition.
